Husky Helpers

 

Husky Helpers are student volunteers in Grades 5 -7 who help make recess fun, engaging, and inclusive for students in JK - 3. Junior Husky Helpers are students in Grade 4 who do the same while training with a Senior Husky Helper.

 

Their job is to…

 

  • Create a safe and inclusive recess

  • Help run games and activities

  • Learn different games and teach them to younger students

  • Help students participate and feel included

  • Manage equipment and supplies

  • Hold doors and help with reentry

 

Being a Husky Helper's means they… 

 

  • Develop leadership skills

  • Serve as a role model

  • Gain volunteer hours

  • Earn a certificate of achievement

  • Receive a toque, bball hat, and a hoodie!
